The 19-year-old activist, Greta Thunberg, will publish her fourth book “The Climate Book” by Penguin publishing house next fall.
“I have decided to use my platform to create a book based on the current best available science – a book that covers the climate, ecological and sustainability crises holistically”
She had previously collaborated on two books Scenes from the heart and Our house is on fire; as well as the collection of her speeches No one is too small to make a difference.
The book will feature a collaboration of more than 100 writers; They include scientists like Johan Rockström and Katharine Hayhoe, novelists like Margaret Atwood, and economists like Thomas Piketty. This aims to gather a broader opinion of the environmental crisis in which we find ourselves, as well as take up the learnings of Greta, find hope and change the conversation on climate change.
“Because the climate crisis is, of course, only a symptom of a much larger sustainability crisis. My hope is that this book might be some kind of go-to source for understanding these different, closely interconnected crises.”
The Climate Book is scheduled to be published on October 27, 2022 in the UK and early 2023 in the US.
